minutesThis recipe is for the real chocolate & peanut butter lovers. Honestly, this is a combination that just cannot go wrong for me. The way I cut these brownies I get 9 huge pieces, but this recipe is actually enough for 16 servings if you cut the pieces a bit smaller ;).
Ingredients
170 g unsalted butter
200 g roughly chopped dark chocolate
270 g granulated sugar
4 large eggs
90 g flour
55 g cocoa powder
60 g crunchy peanut butter (or more if you like it extra peanut buttery)
Some sprinkles of sea salt
- Equipment
20×20 cm baking tin
Instructions
- Pre-heat the oven to 180 °C (fan-forced). Melt the butter and chocolate in a bain-marie and set aside to cool.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk the sugar and eggs with an electric hand mixer on high speed for 5 minutes.
- Add the butter & chocolate mixture and fold together with a spatula, until smooth. Sift in the cocoa powder and flour and fold together again, until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the parchment lined tin. Add large teaspoons of peanut butter on top, and roughly swirl it in the brownie batter with a spatula or knife.
- Bake for 30 minutes, until the top forms a light crust while the center remains slightly wobbly. Finally, sprinkle some sea salt on top. Let it cool completely so it can firm up before slicing.
